The Chicago Cubs have defeated the Cleveland Indians to win their first World Series in 108 years.

The Cubs came back from a 3-1 series deficit, to win the final three games of the series.

Chicago fans were forced to sweat it out, with the match tied at 6-all after the ninth innings, forcing the game to an extra innings.

The Cubs then scored twice in the finals innings, before restricting the Indians to just one run, to record an eight to seven win.
