The Kansas City Royals have beaten the New York Mets 7-2 in game five to win the World Series 4-1.

The win is the Royals' first World Series since 1985.

The Royals overcame an early 2-0 deficit in the ninth inning to force an extra inning, before scoring five runs in the 12th, to record yet another stunning comeback.
